Abstract |
Ground Water is the leading international journal focused exclusively on ground water. Since 1963, Ground Water has published a dynamic mix of papers on topics related to ground water including ground water flow and well hydraulics, hydrogeochemistry and contaminant hydrogeology, application of geophysics, groundwater management and policy, and history of ground water hydrology. The journal emphasizes articles that include presentation of theory with practical application. Several types of contributions are accepted including Research Papers, Technical Notes (short, focused research papers), Computer Notes, Review Papers and Issue Papers, which examine in detail a topic of interest to the general readership and may be opinion-based. The journal also regularly publishes guest editorials and technical commentary, history articles, book reviews and a software column. Case studies are accepted only if the paper also includes new information of general interest and application. As all ground water professionals read this journal regularly, the journal boasts a circulation of over 10,000 readers. Some of the papers in every issue of Ground Water address issues that appeal to a larger audience of soil scientists, surface water hydrologists, ecologists, limnologists and oceanographers. |
