Vlissingen is a sea resort and a major trade and fishing harbor in the mouth of the Scheldt estuary, bordering the North Sea. About the target group The conference will address relevant issues through keynote presentations, parallel scientific sessions, farmer’s days, business demonstrations and a suite of social events. The conference is focused at scientists, NGO’s, businessmen and governmental experts and the venue is chosen in the major shellfish culture and processing area of Europe. We expect about 250 participants from all over the world. About the ICSR The International Conference on Shellfish Restoration (ICSR) is an annual conference that originated in the United States. The conference has been so successful that it has expanded to the European continent and a European version of ICSR was held in Cork, Ireland in 1999, a Canadian version was held in Nainamo, British Columbia in 2001, and ICSR '05 was held in Brest, France. The symposium is unique in Europe as no other scientific shellfish conferences are held in Europe to date. It is the opportunity to address shellfish topics and meet people involved shellfish science. |
