Abstract
The larva of Loxosomella murmanica is briefly described. At metamorphosis the larva attaches by the frontal organ and closes the prototroch around the atrium. The region behind the frontal organ stretches and forms the stalk, and the atrium is reopened. The gut of the larva is retained in the adult.
