Oceanography and Marine Science are the core area of focus and priority withinwhich the National Oceanography Directorate (NOD) has been mandated to serveas the national focal point for oceanographic and marine science R&D undertakingsin Malaysian waters.Over the years, there has been a substantial growth in oceanography and marinescience related R&D activities and programs and thus gave rise to a signifi cantnumber of Malaysian experts in specifi c fi elds within the oceanography and marinescience disciplines. At this juncture, the country is well-prepared and capable tospearhead collaborations with other leading experts around the world to learn newinnovations and discoveries in the oceanography and marine science fi elds for amore sustainable and improved quality of life for all.As the custodian of marine sciences and oceanography for Ministry of ScienceTechnology & Innovation (MOSTI), NOD is pleased to present the Directoryof Oceanography and Marine Science Experts in Malaysia – a comprehensiveinventory of experts from various oceanography and marine science disciplines aswell as their research work and fi ndings.The Directory has been designed for easy access to biographical data and contactdetails of experts in fi elds ranging from; amongst others, Marine Technology andBiotechnology, Marine Informatics, Marine Science and Management, MarineEcology to Marine Toxicity.Additionally, the Directory functions as a complementary source of database tothe existing Malaysian Science and Technology Information Centre (MASTIC)online directory, powered by KRSTE.my (Knowledge Resource For Science andTechnology Excellence, Malaysia) system. |
