Abstract
    Five new taxa (4 species and 1 subspecies) are described, three of them were already known, but had either been misidentified or wrongly placed in a different taxonomy. Two new species were recently discovered, one from the Gulf of Aden, the other from the coast of Mozambique. A new taxonomic status is given to a Conus population from Melanesia and one invalid name (junior primary homonym) is replaced by a nomen novum.
