Abstract
    A short note on the natural history of Dhofar province in Oman is followed by a historical outline of the occurrence of the family Costellarudae The following species are described as new: Vexillum mirbatense n. sp. , V. dhofarense n. sp., V. sigristi n. sp., V. hansturneri n. sp., V. pseudomonalizae n. sp., V. rolani n. sp., V. tenebricosum n. sp. and Pusia {Pusia) paolinii n. sp.
