Two species of the genus Pseuderythrops are reported. The presentoccurrences of Pseuderythrops gracilis Coifmann, 1936, from the Sulu and Timor Seas extend the geographical distribution range of this species considerably eastward. A new species, Pseuderythrops megalops, the second species of this genus, is described. The new species is distinguished from P. gracilis by the large eyes, theshape of the antennal scale, the structures of the third thoracic endopod and fourth male pleopod, and the number of lateral spines on the telson. With the addition of the new species, the diagnosis of the genus is amended. |
