Abstract
This paper presents an educational project in the form of a workshop for secondary school (ESO) pupils in Spain. The main objectives are to highlight the importance of coastal wetlands in the Mediterranean and to introduce pupils to the field of scientific publications. This multidisciplinary workshop aims to develop students' skills in Earth Sciences and other areas. Its main focus is the influence of the sea in these wetlands, through the study of species of certain organisms, such as foraminifera and ostracods, that have adapted to life in these environments with varying degrees of salinity. The data obtained in the study of this coastal area will be presented in the form of a scientific paper. The sections that usually form part of a scientific paper will be explained beforehand, as will the contents of each of the sections. The workshop begins with a theoretical session outlining the fundamentals on which the interpretation is based. Subsequently, a practical workshop is proposed based on a previous study conducted in the Moro Marsh (Valencian Community, Spain), which interprets the environmental changes that have occurred in this area and identifies the variables responsible for these changes. Finally, the study is presented in the format of a scientific paper.
