Abstract
    The growth in length and wt of young D. labrax was studied during 1970-1971, involving individuals of groups 0.1 and 2 which were caught in situ. Their growth rates were very high and irregular both within a yr and from yr to yr. Sea water temp was recognized to be the main factor in ruling the growth rate; the younger the fishes were, the more important this effect was.
