Abstract
    Length-wt relationship and condition factor of the mantis-shrimp are analysed. To estimate the exponent in the length-wt relationship, a functional regression line is more suitable than a predictive one. The comparison of such estimated lines for Aug, Sept and Oct female samples has involved a test: the slopes of Sept and Oct lines are not significantly different at the 5% level, but significant difference has been found between their positions. With the length-wt relationship parameters, it is possible to estimate the condition factor Km. The variations of K m are similar to those of the usual composite condition factor K for timing the population sexual cycle, but Km is not influenced by the allometric relationship between wt and length.
