Abstract
In the Bay of Brest, experimental restocking with P. maximus has been done on grounds where scallops used to be fished before disappearing in 1963. Spaty from Bay of Saint-Brieuc has been transplanted into the Bay of Brest. Six months later, growth was not different between the experimental population and the population of the same age in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. But, increasing of curvature and early sexual maturity in the experimental population suggest that scallop can get into the characteristics of new beds after transplantation. This will be interesting for the fishermen, scallop of the Bay of Brest being of high commercial value.
