Abstract
    Validity of the genus Pectenogammarus Reid, 1940 and distribution of its type-species P. planicrurus (Reid, 1940) (Crustacea, Amphipoda, Gammaridae). Although Pectenogammarus is generally similar to the genus Echinogammarus, it can be readily distinguished by the morphology of its first maxillae. The distribution of the type- (and only) species, P. planicrurus, is reviewed and several new localities (N.W. Spain, S.W. and N.W. France) are recorded.
