Abstract
    Novolaophonte viatorum n.gen. n.sp., from interstitial littoral waters of Cape Cod (Massachusetts), is described and discussed in detail. The remarkable sexual dimorphism and the other characteristics here mentioned, place the new genus in an isolated position among Laophontidae. The females however show some affinities with Klieonychocamptoides, but the morphology of P sub(2)-P sub(4) of the male suggests any affinities with Afrolaophonte. Furthermore some remarks on ecology and sampling stations are exposed.
