Abstract
    Four species of the genus Lichenopora Defrance, one of them new to science, are fully described: Lichenopora radiata (Audouin), L. flosculus Hincks, L. verrucaria (Fabricius) and L. distincta sp. n. Other specimens from other regions in the world are briefly comented. The paper includes a key for the identification of the species on the European coasts.
