Abstract
    In the traditional compilations of texts related to old earthquakes many mistakes result from ignoring the principles of historical criticism. The present work aims to reject wrong data and to establish a catalogue, seisms with the help of original sources. This catalogue is dealing with earthquakes which happened in Belgium, Rhineland and Northern France from 700 to 1400 AD and gives all available data concerning their date, localization and importance of destructions.
