Renata is a PhD student in the MARES doctoral programme. She received her bachelor in Biology in 2008 from the São Paulo State University (UNESP) alongside a specialization in Marine Biology. She became a coastal manager in the following year, and joined UGent through the EMBC master program in 2009. Upon completion of the master work she returned to Brazil, only to join UGent again 1 year later for her PhD. She started her doctoral project in 2013 and has been investigating the ecology of the reef building polychaete Lanice conchilega in the sandy beach of Boulogne-sur-Mer ever since. | |
