Yunmeng is trained as a marine biologist (MSc) in the field of aquatic ecology and aquaculture at Zhejiang University. During the master, she worked on the effects of microbial regulation (mainly by the supplementation of microbial products and carbon source) on the production performance and water quality in white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei farming ponds. She joined VLIZ in December 2019. In the next four years, she will be working on airborne microorganisms and their derivatives, and their effects on human health.
