Abstract
BENTHIS zal de kennis aanreiken voor de verder ontwikkeling van de ecosysteembenadering van het visserijbeheer, zoals vereist in het gemeenschappelijk visserijbeleid en de Kaderrichtlijn Mariene Strategie. Dit project zal de diversiteit van benthische ecosysteem in de Europese wateren en de rol van benthische soorten in het functioneren van ecosystemen bestuderen. Het effect van visserij op benthische organismen en op de geo-chemie zullen bestudeerd worden
