Abstract
    The European research project CLASH (EVK3-CT-2001-0058) investigated wave overtopping at coastal structures. More specific it was aimed to develop a generic prediction method for wave overtopping and to solve the problem of suspected scale effects. The present paper summarizes the main results concerning these items.
